Website and Mailbox Migration Process
At mybox, we provide comprehensive assistance with the transfer of websites and mailboxes from your current hosting provider. This migration process is initiated directly from your account panel and is managed via a dedicated migration order form.
Initiating the Migration
- If you have the OneBox freemium plan.
To start the process, you must first activate the Migration Add-on within your mybox administration panel. Once activated, a migration order form will be sent automatically to your registered email address. This form is the primary document our team uses to execute the data transfer
2. If you have a paid plan(FlexBox or PrimeBox)
No add-ons need to be activated for paid plans. These plans will be released after the “Early Access” phase and while having such a plan you can simply go to the migration form at move-to.mybox.com, fill in the form and submit it.
Required Information for the Migration Form
To ensure a smooth transition, you will need to provide the following details in the form:
- mybox Panel Login: This is the username for your administration panel (formatted as
<login>@panel.mybox.com). You can find this on any of your mybox invoices. - Current Hosting Admin URL: The login address for your current provider’s management area (e.g., cPanel or Plesk).
- Website CMS Access: Provide the backend URL for your sites (e.g.,
domain.com/wp-admin), along with the administrative login and password for each site being moved. - Mailbox Configuration: Include the IMAP server address for your current mail. If you are unsure of this address, you may leave the field blank, though providing it will speed up the process.
Additional Configuration
If your website relies on specific server-side settings, please include these in the “Additional Information” section of the form. Key examples include:
- CRON tasks (scheduled scripts).
- Custom PHP configurations.
- Unique individual element settings.
Completion and Verification
Once you submit the form, our migration team will contact you to schedule a specific migration window. After the data transfer is complete, we will notify you to perform a final check to ensure all services and websites are functioning correctly on the mybox servers.
