If you prefer not to use the default webmail interface or would like to provide webmail access under your own domain or subdomain, you can install RainLoop Webmail.
For example:

mail.yourdomain.com RainLoop is a lightweight webmail application that allows users to access their email accounts through a web browser.

Creating a Website for RainLoop
Before installing RainLoop, create a new website or subdomain in the mybox Panel.
Navigate to:
Websites → + Add Select:
Blank Website Enter the desired address, for example:
webmail.yourdomain.com Complete the setup and save the FTP access details displayed after the website is created.
Downloading RainLoop
Visit the RainLoop download page:
https://www.rainloop.net/downloads/ Download the Community Edition, which is suitable for personal and commercial use.
After downloading the ZIP archive, extract it on your computer.
The extracted package should contain:
index.php
data/
rainloop/ or similar files and directories depending on the version.
Uploading Files via FTP
Connect to your hosting account using an FTP client such as:
- WinSCP
- FileZilla
- Cyberduck
Navigate to the website directory:
yourdomain.com/public_html or:
webmail.yourdomain.com/public_html Upload all RainLoop files and folders to this directory.
Accessing the Administration Panel
Once the files have been uploaded, open:
https://webmail.yourdomain.com/?admin Default administrator credentials:
Username
admin Password
12345 After logging in, you will see the RainLoop administration interface.
Securing the Installation
Change the Administrator Password
Navigate to:
Security or:
/?admin#/security Enter:
Current Password
12345 Then specify:
- A new password
- Password confirmation
You may also change the default administrator username.
Save the changes.
Protect the Data Directory
Connect to the server via FTP.
Locate the:
data directory.
Change its permissions to:
711 This helps prevent unauthorized access to RainLoop’s internal files.
Configuring Email Domains
To allow users to log in using email accounts hosted on mybox:
- Open:
Domains - Click:
Add Domain Domain Name
Enter the domain used by your mailboxes.
Example:
yourdomain.com IMAP Settings

imap.mybox.com Security
SSL/TLS SMTP Settings
Server
smtp.mybox.com Security
STARTTLS Testing the Configuration
After entering the settings, click:
Test If both IMAP and SMTP tests succeed, the indicators should turn green.
Click:
Add to save the domain configuration.
Logging In to Webmail
Users can now access:
https://webmail.yourdomain.com and log in using:
Username
[email protected] Password
mailbox password Enabling HTTPS
If the webmail page does not automatically use HTTPS, create or edit the .htaccess file in the website’s root directory:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule ^ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301] Save the file.
This rule will automatically redirect all visitors to the secure HTTPS version of the site.
