Roundcube provides a modern web-based email interface that allows users to access their mailboxes through a browser while using your existing Mybox email accounts.

Creating a Website for Roundcube
Step 1
Log in to the Mybox control panel.

Navigate to:
Websites
and click:
Add Website

Blank Website

Enter the desired address for your webmail installation.
Examples:
mail.yourdomain.com
webmail.yourdomain.com

Leave the following options enabled:
- Create FTP account
- Create database

Complete the website creation process and save the generated:
- FTP credentials
- Database credentials
You will need them later.
Creating and Importing the Database
Roundcube requires a MySQL database.
Step 1
Log in to phpMyAdmin using the database credentials created with the website.
Step 2
Download the latest Roundcube package from:
https://roundcube.net/download/
Step 3
Extract the downloaded archive on your computer.
Inside the extracted package, locate the SQL installation files, usually found in:

In phpMyAdmin:
- Select your database.
- Click the Import tab.
- Upload the appropriate SQL installation file.
- Start the import process.
After the import completes, the Roundcube database structure will be created.
Downloading and Installing Roundcube
Step 1
Make sure SSH access is enabled on your hosting account.
Step 2
Connect to your hosting account via SSH.
Step 3
Navigate to your website directory:
cd webmail.yourdomain.com

Enter the document root:
cd public_html
Step 5
Remove the default placeholder file:
rm index.html

Download the latest Roundcube release.

Extract the archive:
tar -zxvf roundcubemail-complete.tar.gz

Move the extracted files into the public_html directory.
You can use:

or a file manager such as Midnight Commander.
Configuring Roundcube
Step 1
Navigate to the configuration directory:
cd config
Step 2
Rename the sample configuration file:
mv config.inc.php.sample config.inc.php
Step 3
Open the configuration file:
nano config.inc.php
or:
mcedit config.inc.php
Step 4
Configure the database connection.
Locate:
$config['db_dsnw']
Example:
$config['db_dsnw'] = 'mysql://dbuser:dbpassword@localhost/dbname';
Replace the values with your actual database credentials.
Step 5
Configure the IMAP server.
Locate:
$config['default_host']
and change it to:
$config['default_host'] = 'ssl://imap.mybox.com';

Configure the SMTP server.
Locate:
$config['smtp_server']
and change it to:
$config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://smtp.mybox.com';

Save the file and exit the editor.

Accessing Your Webmail
After completing the installation, open the address you assigned to Roundcube in your browser:
https://webmail.yourdomain.com
Log in using the full email address and password of any mailbox hosted on Mybox.
