Nextcloud is a self-hosted file synchronization and collaboration platform that provides functionality similar to cloud storage services such as Dropbox or Google Drive. Preparing Your Hosting Account
Step 1
Log in to the mybox Panel.
Navigate to:
Websites
Step 2
Click:
Add Website
and select:
Blank Website
Step 3
Complete the website creation form:
- Domain name
- FTP account creation
- Database creation
Leave the FTP and database options enabled.

Show Access Details

- FTP password

Downloading the Nextcloud Installer

section and download:
setup-nextcloud.php
to your computer.
Uploading the Installer
Step 1
Connect to your hosting account using an FTP client such as:
- WinSCP
- FileZilla
- Cyberduck
Use the FTP credentials obtained when creating the website.

Navigate to your website’s public directory:
public_html
Step 3
If present, remove the default file:
index.html
to avoid conflicts with the installation.

Upload:
setup-nextcloud.php

public_html
directory.
Starting the Installation
Open your web browser and navigate to:
https://yourdomain.com/setup-nextcloud.php
Replace:
yourdomain.com
with your actual domain name.

The Nextcloud installer welcome page will appear.

to continue.

Choose the installation directory.
If you want Nextcloud installed directly under your main domain, enter:

Creating the Administrator Account
Enter:
Administrator Username
Example:

Administrator Password
Choose a strong password.
Data Directory
In most cases, the default value can be left unchanged.
Configuring the Database
Nextcloud supports multiple database engines.
SQLite
Suitable for:
- Personal installations
- Small environments
- Testing purposes
MySQL / MariaDB
Recommended for:

Select:
MySQL/MariaDB
and enter the database credentials obtained when creating the website.

Accessing Nextcloud
Once installation is complete, you can access your Nextcloud instance directly through your browser:

Log in using the administrator account created during installation.
