A subdomain is the web address where your website can run. It belongs to the root domain and is created within it.
The subdomain name is located on the left side of the web domain and is separated from it by a period. It can be said that it is a domain prefix of a given form, because what is often forgotten, the www.yourdomain.com address is also a form of subdomain. As you can see, the web is on the left and is separated by a dot from the root domain in front of which it appears.
For example, the main domain will be the address:
- yourdomain.com
Subdomains will be addresses:
- blog.yourdomain.com
- forum.yourdomain.com
- mail.yourdomain.com
or even the one mentioned earlier:
whereby the subdomain in this form has become synonymous with calling the address of the home page and is currently used.
HERE you will find a guide on how to add a new page in a subdomain.
