The mybox team can migrate your website and email from your current hosting provider. To request a migration, you need to activate the Website Migration add-on from the mybox Store. Once activated, you will receive an email with a migration form. After you submit the form, the team will contact you to agree on a convenient date and time for the migration.
What you need before ordering
Before filling in the migration form, prepare the following:
- Access credentials for your current hosting panel (login and password), or FTP access data if you do not have panel access
- Your current hosting provider name and a link to their customer panel
- Information about whether two-step verification (2FA) is active on your current hosting account
- An estimate of how many websites and mailboxes you want to migrate, and their approximate total size
- If you want mybox to also update your domain delegation: credentials for your domain registrar panel
The more hosting validity time you have remaining at your current provider, the better. Migration and post-migration verification take time - avoid leaving it until the last minute.
How the migration process works
Step 1 - Activate the Website Migration add-on Go to the mybox Store in your panel and activate the Website Migration add-on. For One Box accounts, this is a paid add-on.
Step 2 - Fill in the migration form After activation, you will receive an email with a link to the migration form. Fill in the details about your current hosting, the websites and mailboxes you want to move, and your contact information.
Step 3 - Confirm the migration date The mybox team will review your form and contact you to agree on a date and time that works for you.
Step 4 - Review and confirm Before the domain is switched over, you will have the opportunity to verify that your website works correctly on the new server. Once you confirm everything is in order, the team will update the domain delegation.
