If you have a mailbox hosted on Zoho Mail and want to migrate your emails to a mailbox hosted on mybox, you can use the built-in email import feature available in the mybox Panel.
The migration process copies your existing messages directly from Zoho Mail to your new mailbox without requiring manual exports or downloads.

Before You Begin
Make sure that:
- A mailbox has already been created in the mybox Panel.
- You know the Zoho Mail email address and password.
- IMAP access is enabled for the Zoho account.
- You can successfully log in to the Zoho mailbox.
Note: Some Zoho accounts use two-factor authentication (2FA). In such cases, you may need to generate an App Password and use it instead of your regular account password.
Step 1: Open the Email Management Section
Log in to the mybox Panel.
Navigate to:
Locate the mailbox that will receive the imported messages.
Step 2: Start the Import Process

Complete the form using the following settings:

Verify that all information is correct before proceeding.
Step 4: Start the Migration
Submit the form to begin the import process.
The system will connect to the Zoho mailbox using IMAP and start copying messages to your mybox mailbox.
What Happens During the Migration?
The migration process:
- Copies emails from Zoho Mail
- Preserves folder structure where possible
- Transfers attachments
- Leaves the original Zoho mailbox unchanged
The duration of the migration depends on:
- Mailbox size
- Number of messages
- Network conditions
- Zoho server response times
Completion Notification
Once the migration has finished, a notification will be delivered to the destination mailbox.
You can then verify that your emails have been imported successfully.
Zoho Accounts with Two-Factor Authentication
If two-factor authentication is enabled on your Zoho account, standard password authentication may not work.
In this case:
- Sign in to your Zoho account.
- Generate an App Password.
- Use the App Password instead of your regular account password when configuring the import.
Alternative: Import During Mailbox Creation
The message import feature may also be available when creating a new mailbox, allowing you to migrate messages immediately during the mailbox setup process.
Professional Migration Assistance
If you prefer not to perform the migration yourself, the mybox team can assist with mailbox migrations.
For eligible hosting services, mybox can assist with migrating multiple mailboxes as part of the onboarding process. Contact support through the mybox Panel for details and migration assistance.
