How to Import Emails Manually from an MBOX File

If your previous email provider supplied a mailbox export in MBOX format, you can import it directly into your mailbox through the mybox webmail interface.

Importing an MBOX File

Step 1

Log in to your mailbox at:

mail.mybox.com

Step 2

In the top toolbar, click the:

three-dot menu

and select:

Import

Step 3

In the import window that appears, click:

Choose File

and select the MBOX file from your computer.

Step 4

Click:

Import

to begin the import process.

Supported File Size

The maximum supported MBOX file size is:

2 GB

If your mailbox export exceeds this size, consider splitting the archive into smaller files before importing.

Import Duration

The time required for the import depends primarily on:

• The size of the MBOX file
• The number of messages contained in the archive
• The size of email attachments

Typical import times:

During the import process, emails and folders will gradually appear in your mailbox.

Important Notes

• Do not close the browser window while the import is running.
• Large imports may take significant time to complete.
• Imported messages retain their original dates and content.
• Attachments contained within the MBOX archive are imported together with the messages.
• If the import appears to take longer than expected, allow additional time before attempting another import.
