Currently, the mybox infrastructure is optimized for high-performance PHP and static web environments. Due to the specific architectural design of our Modular Web Hosting, a Node.js runtime environment is not included in our standard hosting plans.
If your project requires Node.js to execute server-side JavaScript, it cannot be hosted directly on the current mybox platform.

How it works
Our platform is built to provide a scalable, high-availability environment for technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and various Content Management Systems (like WordPress, PrestaShop, or Joomla).
Node.js requires a persistent process manager and specific server-side resources that differ from the request-based execution used by traditional web hosting environments. To maintain the stability and performance of our shared infrastructure, these resources are currently reserved for our core supported technologies.
Practical Implications
- Static Sites (SSG): If you use Node.js only to build your website (using frameworks like Next.js, Astro, or Gatsby) and then deploy static HTML/CSS files, you can host the resulting static output on mybox.
- Backend Applications: If your application requires a live Node.js backend (Express, NestJS, etc.) to handle API requests or database connections in real-time, it will not function on this platform.
- Development Tools: While you can use Node.js on your local computer for development, the code cannot be executed by the mybox server once uploaded via FTP or SSH.
Summary
The mybox hosting environment is specifically tailored for PHP-based applications and static content. While we continuously evaluate new technologies to add to our infrastructure, Node.js is not a supported runtime at this time.
