To add a new employee profile in PrestaShop , go to your store’s Admin Panel . On the left menu, select Configure, Advanced , and Team.
The new store will only have one active account that was created when setting up and setting up your PrestaShop store.

The newly opened page displays a list of created accounts and Employee Options. Here you can specify the minimum period of time that must elapse to change the password for the panel again. This time is given in minutes. In addition, there is an option to remember the languages of forms in the panel of each employee. To proceed to creating a new profile, press the +Add new employee button in the upper right corner.
The process of adding a new employee in PrestaShop is divided into three parts:
- Employees
- Profiles
- Permissions.

Employee/Seller Account
To create a new employee account in PrestaShop , you need to provide:
- Name
- Surname
- The e-mail address from which the employee will log in,
- A password of at least 8 characters,
- The default page that will open when you log in to your account,
- Language of the administration panel,
- Permission profile, which is the level of permission to access the store. This option will be discussed in more detail later in the post.
Additionally, you can use the slider to mark the account as active or not.

Profiles
By default, in PrestaShop, there are four profiles that define the level of access permissions for each group.
- Administrator – has unlimited access to the entire administrative profile of the store and can make any changes.
- Logistician – has access to sections related to the store’s warehouse and shipping.
- Translator – has access to sections related to the content visible in the front-end of the store, such as: products, categories, translations, search engine, CMS static pages.
- Seller – has access to the sections necessary to handle sales: products and sales, orders, customer database and order statistics.
To define a new store access profile, select +Add new profile in the upper right corner.
You can also rename the default (and new) profiles or delete them entirely.

Permissions
The last section is used to change or specify permissions (accesses) for existing and new user profiles. Each user profile can have its own, individually defined access to the store’s backend. By default, the seller only has access to view product brands in the Brands Sellers tab. If you want your seller to be able to add new Brands on their own in the settings section, you can also grant them access to add, edit, and/or remove Brands.
This is because you can grant permissions to individual store tabs in the View, Add, Edit , and Delete sections. In the Permissions section, you can also grant access to modules installed in the store. Within a given module, an employee can view, configure or uninstall the module.
Each profile can be freely defined within the current needs, except for the administrator. In this case, access is to all options and cannot be restricted. It’s worth remembering that permissions change access for all employees within a given profile.
