If you use CloudFlare, which we provide free of charge to our customers, you have the option to log in to the backend of this service provider and define additional filters there to protect your website.
One of the forms of filtering that we will present and that you can run is to specify from which countries you do not want to receive traffic to your website. This is especially useful in a situation where you have noticed that, for example, a lot of visits are generated from Asia, e.g. China, and your website or store is not directed from recipients from these locations.
Setting the filter
1. Log in to the panel on the cloudflare.com website by clicking on the Log In link in the upper right corner

2. Use the access data of the account that you created yourself before or downloaded from the mybox panel.

3. Select the domain you will be working on.

4. Once the domain management page loads, go to the Security section and then to the Security Rules tab.

5. You will see how many rules are currently in use. You can create up to five rules with a free account. Click the “Create rule” button to proceed to the creation process.

6. Set the rule by filling in the individual fields:
- Rule name – this is a friendly name for the rule. With a few set, it will allow you to easily identify what is being addressed.
- Field – In the example, Country has been selected to set filtering based on the country.
- Operator – specifies the condition, i.e. in the case of a country:
equal (exact indication of one country), does not equal (excluding the selected country), is in (belongs to the group), is not in (does not belong to the group). - Value – is a dynamic field depending on the position selected in the Field field. When Country is selected, this list will include a list of countries to choose from. Here, note that if you plan to select one country, you should select equal in the Operator field, and if you want to select more than one country, select is in, i.e. belonging to the group.
- Then… – defines what action is to be taken if the rule is met. You can choose: Block , JS Challenge – javascript-based challenge, Challenge (captcha) – a challenge consisting in rewriting the code from the image, Allow – allowing or Bypass .
Once you have made the settings, run the filtering rule by clicking the “Deploy” button.
