Installing Cyberduck
- Download the latest version of Cyberduck from the official website.
- Run the installer and complete the installation process.
- Launch Cyberduck after installation.
Connecting via FTP
Step 1: Open a New Connection
After starting Cyberduck, click:

Connecting via SFTP (Recommended)
SFTP provides encrypted communication and is generally recommended over standard FTP.
Step 1: Open a New Connection
Click:
Open Connection Step 2: Select SFTP
Choose:
SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) Step 3: Enter Connection Details
Server
Enter your SSH hostname from the mybox Panel.
Example:
ssh123.mybox.com Port
Enter:
22 Username
Enter your SSH username.
Password
Enter your SSH password.
Connect
Click:
Connect If prompted to trust the server fingerprint, verify the information and accept the connection.
First Connection Warning
When connecting for the first time, Cyberduck may display a security warning indicating that the server’s identity is being verified.
Review the information and click:
Allow or
Continue to proceed.
Managing Files
Once connected, you can:
- Upload files by dragging and dropping them into the Cyberduck window.
- Download files to your computer.
- Create directories.
- Rename files and folders.
- Delete files (if permissions allow).
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Login Failed
Verify:
- FTP or SSH credentials are correct.
- The password has not been changed recently.
- The account is active.
Connection Timeout
Check:
- Internet connectivity.
- Firewall settings.
- Antivirus software blocking FTP/SFTP connections.
Permission Denied
Ensure the FTP account has access to the directory you are trying to manage.
Unable to Connect via SFTP
Verify:
- SSH access is enabled.
- Port 22 is open.
- The SSH hostname is correct.
