Before You Begin
Make sure that:
- A mailbox has already been created in the mybox Panel.
- You know the Outlook.com email address and password.
- IMAP access is enabled for the Outlook account.
- You can successfully log in to the Outlook.com mailbox.
Note: If your Microsoft account uses two-factor authentication (2FA), you may need to generate an App Password and use it instead of your regular account password.
Step 1: Open the Email Management Section
Log in to the mybox Panel.
Navigate to:
Locate the mailbox that will receive the imported messages.
Step 2: Start the Import Process
Next to the destination mailbox, click:

The email import form will open.
Step 3: Enter the Outlook.com Account Details
Complete the form using the following settings:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Server Address | outlook.office365.com |
| Source Mailbox | Your Outlook.com address (for example: [email protected]) |
| Password | Your Outlook.com password or App Password |
Verify that all information is correct before proceeding.
Step 4: Start the Migration
Submit the form to begin the import process.
The system will connect to the Outlook.com mailbox using IMAP and start copying messages to your mybox mailbox.
What Happens During the Migration?
The migration process:
- Copies emails from Outlook.com
- Preserves folder structure where possible
- Transfers attachments
- Leaves the original Outlook.com mailbox unchanged
The duration of the migration depends on:
- Mailbox size
- Number of messages
- Network conditions
- Microsoft server response times
Completion Notification
Once the migration has finished, a notification will be delivered to the destination mailbox.
You can then verify that your emails have been imported successfully.
Outlook Accounts with Two-Factor Authentication
If two-factor authentication is enabled on your Microsoft account, standard password authentication may not work.
In this case:
- Sign in to your Microsoft account.
- Generate an App Password.
- Use the App Password instead of your normal Outlook.com password when configuring the import.
Alternative: Import During Mailbox Creation
The message import feature may also be available when creating a new mailbox, allowing you to migrate messages immediately during the mailbox setup process.
Professional Migration Assistance
If you prefer not to perform the migration yourself, the mybox team can assist with mailbox migrations.
Contact support through the mybox Panel for help with larger or more complex email migrations.
