To configure a qualified signature in proCertum SmartSign, follow these steps.

Step 1: Open Settings
Click the “Settings” button in the main interface.
Step 2: Open Signature Configuration
In the new menu, select the “Signature” tab located at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Set Signature Parameters
Configure the signature options as follows:
- Signature format: XAdES
- Signature type: Internal signature
- Hash function: SHA-256
- Archiving: Create subdirectories in the format YYYY.MM.DD
- Additional signature options: Check certificate validity
- Signature variant: Do not include additional information (BES)
- XAdES advanced signature options: Create Enveloped Signature
Important Note
Once a document has been signed with a qualified electronic signature, it should not be reopened, modified, or re-saved. Doing so may invalidate the signature or make the document unreadable in verification tools.
