Troubleshooting
If your website displays security warnings after enabling HTTPS, some resources such as images, stylesheets, or scripts may still be loading through HTTP. This issue is known as mixed content.
In such cases:
- Update hardcoded HTTP links within your Joomla settings and content.
- Check installed extensions and templates for outdated URLs.
- Clear Joomla and browser caches after making changes.
Summary
Enabling HTTPS in Joomla is a simple process that improves website security and helps protect data exchanged between visitors and your website. Once enabled, all visitors will be automatically redirected to the secure version of your site.
