Termius is a popular SSH client that allows you to connect to remote servers using a modern and user-friendly interface. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
If you prefer not to use PuTTY, Termius is an excellent alternative.

Before You Begin
Before configuring Termius, make sure you have:
- An active SSH account.
- SSH access enabled in the mybox Panel.
- Your SSH hostname.
- Your SSH username.
- Your SSH password.
You can find your SSH connection details in:
Advanced → Secure Shell (SSH) within the mybox Panel.
Step 1: Install and Launch Termius
Download and install Termius on your device.
After launching the application, click:
+ NEW HOST to create a new SSH connection.
Step 2: Configure the Connection
A configuration form will appear.
Fill in the following fields:
Label
Enter a friendly name for the connection.
Example:
My mybox Server This name is only used locally within Termius.
Address
Enter the SSH hostname provided in the mybox Panel.
Example:
ssh123.mybox.com Group
Optional.
You may leave this field blank or use it to organize multiple servers.
Tags
Optional.
You may leave this field blank.
Backspace as CTRL+H
Leave this option disabled.
Step 3: Configure Authentication
Complete the following fields:
Port
Enter:
22 Username
Enter the SSH username displayed in the mybox Panel.
Password
Enter the password assigned to your SSH account.
Leave all other settings at their default values unless you have specific requirements.
Step 4: Save the Connection
Click:
Save in the upper-right corner of the application.
The connection profile will now appear in your host list.
Step 5: Connect to the Server
To establish the connection:
- Locate the host you just created.
- Double-click the connection name.
Termius will initiate the SSH session and open a terminal window.
If this is your first connection to the server, Termius may ask you to verify and accept the server’s SSH fingerprint.
Review the fingerprint and click:
Accept to continue.
Successful Login
Once connected, you will see a command-line prompt similar to:
username@server:~$ You can now execute SSH commands and manage your hosting account directly from the terminal.
Troubleshooting
Connection Refused
Verify that:
- SSH access is enabled.
- The hostname is correct.
- Port 22 is being used.
- Your firewall is not blocking outbound SSH connections.
Authentication Failed
Check:
- Username spelling
- Password accuracy
- Whether the SSH account is active
Timeout Error
Possible causes include:
- Network issues
- Firewall restrictions
- Incorrect hostname
- Temporary server connectivity issues
