GreyList is an anti-spam filtering technique that verifies whether an incoming email originates from a properly configured and legitimate mail server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mechanism is based on the behavior of standard mail servers. When a message is received for the first time from an unknown sender, the GreyList filter temporarily rejects it with a temporary delivery error. A properly configured mail server will automatically retry delivery after a period of time, while many spam-sending systems will not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n
