Click on the domain you have parked, expand its options, and click <strong>Manage DNS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the DNS zone table, find the <strong>A record<\/strong> marked in green \u2014 this is the IP address of your mybox server. Save the changes by clicking <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Windows \u2014 manual editing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hosts file is located at:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C:\\Windows\\System32\\drivers\\etc\\hosts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The file has no extension. To edit it, you need administrator privileges. Open Notepad as administrator, then open the hosts file from the path above. At the end of the file, add a new line in the following format:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>123.456.78.90&nbsp; &nbsp; yourdomain.com<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>123.456.78.90&nbsp; &nbsp; www.yourdomain.com<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Replace 123.456.78.90 with your actual server IP and yourdomain.com with your domain. Save the file. If prompted, confirm that you want to overwrite the system file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>macOS \u2014 terminal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open Terminal and run:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>sudo nano \/private\/etc\/hosts<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter your administrator password when prompted. At the end of the file, add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>123.456.78.90&nbsp; &nbsp; yourdomain.com<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>123.456.78.90&nbsp; &nbsp; www.yourdomain.com<\/code><\/pre>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Save with <strong>Ctrl+O<\/strong>, then exit with <strong>Ctrl+X<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_%E2%80%94_Test_your_website\"><\/span>Step 3 \u2014 Test your website<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open your browser and navigate to your domain. You should now see the version of the site hosted on mybox. If everything looks and works correctly, you can proceed with changing the domain delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reverting the hosts file<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After you have confirmed the site works and changed the domain delegation, remove the lines you added from the hosts file.
