In many applications, and in particular in embedded systems, this solution is the most practical. The contents of the database are stored in one file (up to 2 TB). The “SQLite” database is maintained on disk using binary trees ( B-Tree). A separate tree is used for each of the tables and each of the indexes. Databases are saved as binary files. Their security is based on the security offered by the file system used.
