This type of change may become necessary when, for example, a website changes ownership, or for security reasons you want to make the login more complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you go to the <em><strong>&#8220;Users&#8221; <\/strong><\/em><em>section<\/em> on the <strong><em>&#8220;WordPress&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> backend and there <em><strong>&#8220;Profile&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> you will receive a message that usernames cannot be changed.
